I have a 2020 GT with 10K miles and it has had that same random tick for a long time. The car runs fine so I don’t think it’s a problem.

I hear an engine running and nothing else in your video.

The Injectors (2 kinds) clickity clack all the time, if it isn't the injectors it is the BBQ Tick and both are a NON ISSUE!

Put some Ceratec in it and move on with your life.

listen to it in a garage...turn the AC on and off, see if the tick gets more frequent. Most likely the infamous bbq tick. Ceratech usually fixes it...just a nuisance sound.

True! One bottle of Ceratec and the tick is gone.

I have to give Ceratec a try. I’m very skeptical that it will significantly reduce the tick. I don’t really care if it doesn’t but all you fans of it have raised my curiosity.

I too am a little curious on this. Is Ceratec basically a 21st century version of the 1950's-1960's STP thick Oil treatment product?

Make sure you post up if it works for you...I haven't seen many negative posts about it. I was skeptical also, but it worked for my 21 GT that started the tick after the first oil change at 5k. It was a very embarrassing sound on a brand new car...gone now.

Ceratec added and car driven around for a while in city and on highway. No ticking sound noted but it’s not always easy to hear. Now I need to go through my favorite drive thru where the noise was most obvious while driving in the drive up lane alongside the building. Sounds are reflected off the building back to the driver there. Stay tuned.

So there is a sound you can faintly hear only when the wind doesn't blow and the angles on the wall are right... but you go and put a bottle of unknown / not approved concoction in your engine?

I believe that Ceratec actually does reduce the ticking sound. I’ve been listening for the tick and don’t hear it even when driving along a building so I can hear engine noises while driving. I’ll continue to listen for it but so far so good.

FWIW, I don’t care either way if it helps and I tried it, doubting that it would help. So I think I’m being objective.
