Finished installing my new steering wheel. I have to say it feels great but it also feels strange. One thing I never liked about the OEM wheel was how it felt a bit squishy. Too much padding for my liking. This wheel is very firm and thick and will take a little getting used to. All the cars I've ever driven, never had anything like it. It feels and looks like it means business.

I went with red stitching because my goal is to upgrade some of the interior with red stitched accents. Shifter boot and center console are in the works.

Give it a month and you will be wondering how you lived without it :) The red stripe in the center used to drive me crazy when I noticed how often I parked and the wheels were not centered. lol

Our wheels are similar except mine is carbon fiber, I got use to mine quite quickly.

Reinstalled O.E shifter on my 2017 GT. White Madness Garage automatic shifter became loose , found plastic collar had broke .:frown:

Your White Madness Garage shifter looks a bit different than mine....but maybe there's a difference between the 2017 auto and the 2019 auto. For some unknown reason, my WMG kit did not have that plastic piece you are showing. But then maybe WMG changed their design and not Ford.

With the WMG kit I purchased last summer, two screws insert directly through the WMG metal tube into the threaded OEM inner tube. Is it possible for you to do that without having to use the black plastic piece which cracked? (You may need shorter screws to prevent them from contacting/hindering the internal shift lockout rod, as I was able to use the OEM screws in my case)

Anyway, I did have an issue with WMG’s shift lockout plastic rod being fragile. WMG did ship two lockout rods, and I later learned why. After the first one broke, and the “extra” one cracked I decided to avoid the risk of getting stranded. So, I fabricated a lockout rod facsimile from aluminum rod. A bit of effort, but it works quite well. (I would have modified the OEM lockout rod but as you found out, sometimes you have a reason to go back to OEM components as you did.) Kudos to you for keeping your OEM components.

That is my DSP controller for my stereo. It's for adjusting the subwoofer level and switching EQ presets. The USB port behind it is disabled and I put a dual USB in the center storage area. The USB on the power port is simply for charging things.

Here is what i did:

Sold my 2021 velocity blue GT non-premium
Bought myself a 2022 GT Premium Grabber Blue metallic

and saved myself $20 Bi-weekly on payments in the process. Same options. new year and premium
Congrats. I love my 22 Premium in Grabber blue Metallic. Got the PP too and all the bells and whistles except Recaro's, it's an amazing car.
