Just brought her out of winter storage. Of course I had to take her for a drive love watching people bend their necks as I drive by. 🙂

In other news, new toys came in. Yay! But also, nature said screw this area in particular. Huge snowstorm. We're now blowing past our all time record and flooding is a real risk now. Fun.

I hate snow but I might it over what we’re getting. We’re getting all kinds of severe weather here. Friday night over a dozen tornadoes in IL and we got golf ball sized hail this afternoon. Some places nearby got baseball sized hail. More coming late tonight too

Stupid ass climate change. But yeah, I'll gladly take snow over that any day, lol. Bad day to not have a garage in that case...

Luckily my car is always in the garage when I’m home so it was safe. My wife’s car got a couple dings when she was at work but nothing terrible. Can be fixed via PDR, no paint damage.

It's good PDR has gotten so good now that cars aren't an automatic total loss now from hail storms. Still expensive though, especially if you have to swap out glass.

For sure. Thankfully no glass damage on her car and surprising as well considering she has dual panel sunroofs. On a happier note, snow shoes come off on Friday!

It's important because too low of an ethanol content in the fuel leads to potential detonation/knock issues since most tunes set up for E take advantage of its incredible cooling properties (it vaporizes in a different way than gasoline, removing far more heat from the cylinder). This allows you to run stupid amounts of ignition advance. Doing that on low quality E though? Can damage/kill the motor.
So what do you do when the content is too low? Getting the fuel out of the tank and replacing it seems like… a bit of a hassle.

It is way easier installing the air box by separating the tube from it then get the two pieces nicely in place before reconnecting them.

How do you separate the two? Just unbolt the two bolts closest to the MAF?
Yes sir! Once you start installing it will be clear as day why this makes it so much easier to get everything lined up...

Excuse my ignorance, I don’t know anything about e85 and am considering changing… everyone talks about how important it is to monitor your e content, but no one says why it’s important, or even more so, what happens when the content is too low? What do you do? Stop the car and drain the tank? Get higher e content fuel and add it to the tank? Set the car on fire and run? I don’t understand…

It’s easy for me to find which gas station has the best E85. Where I live we have a lot of stations who carry E85. Some test very good while others much lower. My wife actually surprised me with it when I had my LTH, TB, cat back-and a new tune installed last week and they put in in for me. Plus I think it looks good lol…

Definitely looks good. The area I live has a few e85 stations and they’re all supposed to be pretty good, I just don’t wanna jump into the conversion and then have no idea what I'm doing and damage my car.
