That OLM is not an OLM. It's an algorithm calculator.
Ford calls it an iOLM ... "i" for "intelligent". Yes, it takes oil temperature, engine RPM, etc into the "algorithm" ... but, as I mentioned above if the car just sits for 1 year without ever running the OLM will still go from 100% to 0% (basically 2% per week), so Ford's "algorithm" is also heavily time factored.

Started them up today and moved them around. Roads are still crap.

I can't believe my oil indicator is saying 7% before oil change. Although a year will be in May, I don't know if I put a 100 miles on it.

The oil minder seems to be more time based than mileage based. I put < 1500 miles / year on my GT350, yet the oil minder seems to time out around 10 months. I noticed it dropped from 5% / 100 miles to 0 after driving 5 miles.

Interesting.

I'll just do what I have been doing with my other cars. Oil change once a year.

Last year I went about 18 months on my 03 cobra. I run Amsoil in it and likely had no more than 300 miles.

Wish I made more time to drive them more.

My Acura is on 1.5 years since last oil change and the monitor is a 40%. It seems more realistic calculating multiple variables for oil life. That said, I usually change every 1-1.5 years regardless.

I actually did this a few days ago, Front hubs were easy, Rears were a real PITA, especially since the driver side 1/2 shaft was replaced due to a cut boot on the CV joint & the dealer replaced under warranty. New 1/2 shaft & CV joint are a larger diameter, extra strength ?
Got my "New to me" CF wheels mounted up on the new Optimum Performance hubs.
Ready for Mid-Ohio May 6th & 7th.

Overall under normal conditions, yes. Blackstone oil analysis shows its pretty accurate and actually a little conservative ( oil is good for longer then what Ford's system says which is a good thing.

Have a 2017 so you may think I am biased but I picked up a set of Gen 2 wheels as well. After swapping back and forth, I prefer the Gen 1 OEM 350 wheel. So clean!
I have both, my road set are the OEM that came on the car and I picked up a set of take offs a 2020 with Cup2s for the track

THe first thing I did when I bought my 2019 was swap wheels and tires (pre-2019 oem). I didn't mind the subtle design change but just not a fan of gloss black wheels.
