What can I do to clean it?

So brand new mbrp race exhaust I guess this is whatever lube etc that was left from factory it will not come off what can I use that won’t damage or harm the stainless steel or degrade it? i have already taken nevrdull to it with no results I called mbrp and they tell me it will eventually go away which sounds like a load of bs.

Try some degreaser or Goo Gone with a toothbrush

I have also been instructed aluminum foil with water is good lol

Or steel wool or some fine sandpaper and just polish it afterwards

Sorry I didn't catch where you had already installed and driven it. Did MBRP tell you it's actually Cosmoline? Because if it is - it's the same stuff that comes congealed / dried packed in firearms, especially old ones stored for a long time. IF it is cosmoline, go to the hardware store and by some Mineral spirits. Use an old toothbrush and dip the the toothbrush in the mineral spirits and scrub. It'll come off.

Another option - BEFORE you apply mineral spirits, is to use a heat gun (Harbor freight sells a cheap one) and get it warm and clean it off.

Doubt it's cosmoline...but mineral spirits shouldn't hurt it. Test a small spot. The heat gun would definitely loosen enough to clean or scrape it off.

That with a drill and some heavy cut polishing compound, like M105, is what i use. It cleans EVERYTHING off and polishes it at the same time.

Looks like a spray-on undercoating. go with the mineral spirits idea first.
