https://www.thedrive.com/news/33773...shift-record-with-six-second-quarter-mile-runDude, Supra's are notorious dyno queens. Get some facts, and come back and see me
Just for the record I have never owned an import but I am very sad when a GT500 or even a Dodge Hellcat loses it’s ass to a 400hp import stock V6. It’s just there.Well aware. Just busting on the JDM fanboi's
I think every car guy of a certain age range goes through a "Fast and Furious" phase. It leads down a dark path of Sil80's and eBay turbo kits
Man I tell ya what though. Might not ever be another car engineered like the Supra ever again. 1500.00 in BPU upgradeds and it was a 530 rwhp car with a bullet proof 6-speed and a bullet proof rearend. I’m not a tuner car guy but that car was/is one of the most incredible auto engineering feats probably ever.Well aware. Just busting on the JDM fanboi's

they do that because the stock style system is a nightmare of vacuum lines and difficult to get working right if modified, also if you're going to change the turbos buying one is normally cheaper than two. That's the magic of traction.
For sure. I'm actually partial to the mkIII's myself. I like 80's turbo cars. I think the worst thing people do to Supra's in general (other than wrap them around trees ) is pull out the sequential turbo system for a large single.
And real tuning at the factory which we don’t do here. We would rather choke our engines and let us tune them and make them faster ourselves. That's the magic of traction.
and incur the wrath of the EPA who will fine the bejeepes out of the fools dumb enough to provide device and tunes. Oh wait, that was a different thread...We would rather choke our engines and let us tune them and make them faster ourselves.
Scary right? Yet the cars keep coming in already tuned.and incur the wrath of the EPA who will fine the bejeepes out of the fools dumb enough to provide device and tunes. Oh wait, that was a different thread...
I like the MK3 but I’m partial to the MK4 I was 13 when it came out. I actually like the big singles they spool quicker than big singles and your right the sequential set up was awesome it was good for 600 crank HP. The car weighed what 3300-3400 pounds? With the stock twins turned up it was still the faster car in the country by a mile. I will say look at the 6466 single. It’s rather new 8 yrs ago makes just over 1k at the crank and spools nearly as fast as the twins. That's the magic of traction.

Yes. Each drive mode has its own steering mode.
The only car that came close to beating me in my twin turbo RX7 was a Supra. That thing was hot. We ran several runs and ended up at a draw.Man I tell ya what though. the surgeon my brother bought his Audi RS5 from imported a R34 ahead of time. It's not registered for street use obviously yet. There are some nice one's on there. The sold section just kills me. I didn't realize how many there are here.
I doubt it's this exact one, but there's a similar one that hangs out at a brewery near me. It's pretty cool to see in person...definitely a head turner if you like older importsI want to meet the person who bought this

For an active / outdoor family I think that is really cool ! Load it up with a bike carrier and camping gear etcI doubt it's this exact one, but there's a similar one that hangs out at a brewery near me. It's pretty cool to see in person...definitely a head turner if you like older imports
