I heard the knee airbag in the 2016 Camaro SS is going to fire out at 55 m/s and the Mustang GT only fires at 50 m/s. ;)

Couldn't resist.

What I'm most looking forward to is driving it HARD. The car of course. ;)

Might sound odd, but I am really looking forward to a CD player! My jeep DD is a loaded limited but doesn't have a CD player. It has bluetooth, traffic link, 5 day forecast, radar maps, heated steering wheel and every other gadget but they said CD players are obsolete

When I drive off the lot I don't owe them a dime. This baby is all mine.

I'm pretty much looking forward to EVERYTHING! The 2015 ticks every box for me so far. Better interior, European looks, American muscle, and much better handling. There's way too much to narrow it down to one thing.

As disapointed as I am with the weight gain, howver minimal it may turn out to be, I couldn't resist building up a new GT on the Ford site. My car, a base GT in Guard so it looks like the infamous Bullitt car,Performance Pack and Recaros came to a tick over $37k.

I then built a DIB EcoBoost Premium with auto and Performance Pack, no Recaros since wife hits her head on the plastic inserts (she's 5'2"), and that car came to a little more than $34k.

Hard to say which one excites me more as the Eco would be my wife's car, but the green car would be what I would choose IF, and it's a HUGE IF, I decided to swap out of my Boss.

I just wanted the chime in with some things I'm not looking forward to. My friend and I theorized some packages that would do well for this new car.
here was our conversation:

Dodgin: can i get the fleshlight package instead of the smokers package? I -really- like mustangs
Nathan: drinkers package, equipped with the google system that drives for you?
Nathan: Pedo package: barbie back seats
Nathan: and trunk
Dodgin: bopper packages: waves $20s out the windows with #duckfacesaccepted displayed in led lights
Nathan: Satanic package: pentagram with auto lit candles upon ignition
Nathan: Cathloic package: Offers the blood and the body of christ upon doing 20 over
Dodgin: gives you some holy water to throw a hail mary every time you swear
Nathan: it has one of those priest cloths going around the driver's seat too
Nathan: 16 year old package: All models detuned to 135hp
Dodgin: with borla exhaust and a CAI super upgrade
Nathan: Elder package: Throttle response significantly tuned down, prescription magnification windshield
Dodgin: also flashers automatically come on between 2pm and 4am
Nathan: Deaf man's package: No mufflers or resonators

Tough decision. The Boss has the limited run and exclusivity that the GT will not have. OTOH, the GT can reasonably be expected to be better than the Boss in pretty much every single way (refinement, comfort, handling, electronics etc). I esp like the idea of a 3 inch wider rear track, IRS, redone front suspension and 6 piston brakes very much. Either way you don't lose, both great options. Personally the interior (and to a lesser extent exterior) of the Stang has come so far it makes the S197 (the center stack in particular is HIDEOUS IMHO) look very old. I do love the Boss though, esp the 13 refreshed version. I'd happily drive on in GHIG and Recaros!!!

I am excited about an automatic trans with paddle shifters and rev matching. My last 2 Mustangs have been manual and I am ready for an AT DD! And push button ignition. After driving this Maxima for the last few years I wont buy another car with out that. Its too nice.

In this thread, I listed what I would miss in my current S197 car (trading) but posted what I look forward to in the new one -

a) exterior styling
b) over 100+ more hp than the 4.6L
c) the IRS
d) interior design and material quality
e) driving modes
f) revisions in the 5.0L and 6-speed transmission and shifter
g) improvements in the interior and trunk packaging
h) all the features that were carried over from the latest car to this one (Track Apps, projector mirrors, Sync)
i) MyFordTouch (hope it works as well as promised)

The sound especially with new Borlas....can't wait.
man that is a hefty price for the Borla S type but basing it off the 2014, yes they sound awesome but those prices are not! jeeze, $1400 for that setup... I spent 900, just about a 1000 with taxes and all... I guess I will have to actually hear the stock ones for myself and make a judgement...the videos I have heard sound pretty good for a stock
