What's the status on your new engine?

Grace and Peace,
New engine should ship soon if it hasn't already. My apologies for being a ghost. I have been tied up with holidays and work. Here's a few photos of the engine.

Turbos should be back from inspection/repair soon as well.

The limiting factor will be the 10R80 and/or stock differential. I've looked into a TH400 swap but it's more complicated since I opted for a factory auto car. Hoping to see more aftermarket part availability soon. McLeod has clutches and Circle D is releasing a converter soon.

Bwahahahahhaaa. . . was showing some kids my turbo Miata when the tire store monkey says "my Honda revs to 10,000rpm" so I asked him if he wanted to race. "Sure" he says. OK, lets go . . "can't, it blew up."

Thanks for the update. The new build looks and sounds exciting. :)

Have you looked/talked to Lund Racing about what they're doing? Their S550 is running 7.70s with a 6R80.

Grace and Peace,
Thanks bud. Yes. I work directly with Jon Jr and the team. Hopefully the aftermarket will catch up with the 10R80 and we can start pushing even harder. Their achievements are quite impressive with the Blue Goose.

Nothing about this car is half assed lol...I didn't plan to make over 1000whp in 12lbs of boost. It's been taking other kits 15lbs to get there. I certainly didn't plan to keep the car there. Would have been a "last resort" if 10lbs couldn't get the job done. Also, I was curious to see what we could do on the stock engine. I knew it would take 900-1000whp to meet my goal but peak torque had a different plan. Shit happens. I'll toss a built/sleeved engine in now and then we'll see what it takes to pop the 10R80/rear differential. I've got plenty of time to waste having fun with this car.
This is how we find out how much power stock motors can handle. I am happy there are people out there who can afford to do this. I know I can not afford to just say screw it and blow it up. I mean, I know I gotta pay to play but knowing, or at least having an idea of how far I can push what I got gives me an idea of where I need to stop. When, I need to start buying internals, and when to start saving up for the expensive stuff. Keep on Keeping on man, and we appreciate people like you leading us and showing us how far we can go.
