05/24/23 - Finally decided to go with @Wengeredperformance on my 2016 PP Stage 2 Procharged 5.0. I look forward to his unique calibration, not sure what to expect but Im very hopeful for the very best.

After about 79 emails, I finally made the decision 😁🙏 he was very very patient and answered all my questions (quickly if I may add)

The RTD pairing was a pain in the ass but I was able to get it paired and have the car "read" and sent. The very first step to it all.

I am sure I'll be getting a Tune very soon but no upload till I Install my FIC 1000 injectors 😉 this week then it's time to PLAY/datalog 😁😁

Anyone else recently Tuned by the infamous Wengered? 💪

😆😆😆 he drives a lambo? Haven't seen that but def the chopper which is bad ass 👊 regardless of what Toys he has he def deserves it. Wish he put up more YT videos but then again that may affect his turn around time 🤨😉😁 glad to have chosen him 🙏👊

Back to the OPs setup. This is why i always recommend a reputable remote tuner vs most local tuners who are inexsperienced with these cars. Op sent me the read of the car and i see he has essentually stock timing maps in his boosted car from a previous tuner.


First of all the timing maps were not scaled for boost.

A stock timing map is based on load and rpm.

The load axis was stock so whether you make 1psi or 15 psi the timing would stay the same as the load axis was not scaled .

2. Cat over temp was disabled and he has stock cats. That will damage cats and can cost you a engine.

3. Power enrichment was set to .82-.83 lambda at wot which is too lean for these cars.

First picture is stock. Second is previous tuned timing map and 3rd is a comparison differnce between stock and previous tune.

All the Timing mapped points were done like mapped point 23 with only the last few cells adjusted a little

without giving the entire store away, can you post what the tables should have looked like? ie. feel free to blank out sections - but still see enough to follow trend.

Here is something i just made really quickly. This is not our tune and was only made for this thread
and allows you to referance what i am talking about.

At 1.0 load (like na) you will see its set to around 21 at WOT.

We dont want that much timing under boost so we can set 1.0 load to be close to NA cars timing and continue dropping off as Load/boost increases.

We wouldnt want 1.0 load to be the last cell of the load axis. Any boost whether 1psi or 20 would run off the last cell and would not ramp down the timing. Timing would stay the same.

As load goes up (more boost) timing continues to adjust since the load is scaled.

This keeps us within the timing table vs hitting the last remaning table on the load axis and having no timing adjustments for increased load.

OP, who tuned your car ?
I was tuned by Lund. How can I read what’s in the tune ? I thought tunes were locked ? @Wengerd Performance

This tune would have been flashed with a MPVI2 device directly and had a stock OS ID. Not a scrambled OS id that would prevent reading and opening the calibration

A local Tuner near me and previous to this someone else. I purchased the car with the Procharger and whatever tune was there. I did not have the original tuning device. The car ran well but was unsure if it was maximized which lead me to have the local tuner get some baseline runs and have him do a new tune setup only if he can do better or improve it. Regretfully and happy he did, Wengered found some interesting stuff to say the least.... I do remember the local tuner saying that the previous Tune wasn't bad leading to my suspicion and eventual findings.
OP, who tuned your car ?
I was tuned by Lund. How can I read what’s in the tune ? I thought tunes were locked ? @Wengerd Performance

Update: Received the Tune yesterday and I plan on uploading it today after installing a new set of (FIC 1000 inj) once tune is uploaded Ill send Daryl the requested logs as required and take it from there. Can't wait! Keep you all posted 👍 Daryl has been very informative and prompt, good dude 🙏👊

I have a completely stock 2021 A10 GT Premium that “had” the harsh shifts 3-4 and 4-5, Wengerd did a 93 tune for me and shifting is now great, harshness is gone.
