Might be a lot easier and cheaper to pick up a new rear seat back from a salvage co.

Lot's of seats available from all the wiped out Mustang organ donors.

Nice looking badge! If you succeed in removing it cleanly, I'm interested. Great decor for a man cave!

Look like a badge from early mustang
It’s glued on for sure. But what type of glue? That is the question
Regular/weatherstrip glue can be removed with 3M adhesive remover, crazy glue type… forget about it

Try isopropyl alcohol. It's the greatest for detailing and removing goo. You have to dilute to different ratios for different materials. Always start with 97% so you get a nice clean ratio and % IPA to water.

You can Google proper ratios.

Not so much. It will remove color and mar plastics. I love it for cleaning glass but it got away from me and left a little white spot on my center console. Full strength IPA is no joke but it sure does clean metal/glass surfaces well.

Not so much.

I never use full strength on anything. I only start with full strength because of the simple math of working to a new percentage. I have clean leather and removed gum or goo from my van with a 20% solution with no issues

American muscle or CJ pony parts used to sell a decal that looks like that.

It seems to be inlaid into the vinyl.

The good news: it peeled right off and left no residue. Just a very faint outline that should resolve itself, or perhaps need a little heat. No glue, just a light adhesive backing.
