Hi all, any help is greatly appreciated.

So i've been having weird startup issues on my recently installed Vortech V3-Jt Supercharged 2020 Mustang GT (A10)

On cold starts, my RPMS will shoot up like normal, then sometimes in less than 5 seconds they drop low like 1k rpms which is not how coyotes start (High RPMS) then eventually settle to Idle and idle is fine. During those cold starts the car seems to like skip a beat or just tiny little pops where it doesn't sound so smooth and have recently been getting the code P0308, but will go away with driving once the car is warmed up. No loss in power, idle is fine, no driveability issues

This only happens on cold starts, I've swapped coils around and nothing really has changed.

Warms starts is different where the car will start, shoot to like 500rpm which is really low and then gradually make its way up to idle.

Please let me know if you need more context or something like that has happened to you.

(V3 supercharger, LTH, 18+ manifold with IMRC locked out, shorty filter on headunit, 93 tune (wengered), BAP)

What's your vacuum at idle? Can you datalog it? Cylinder balance test? Compression test on # 8? How do the plugs look?

Some of it sounds tune related, also like others have said you have a cylinder 8 misfire. I'd definitely send some logs to your tuner.

Checked the plugs and they had some discoloration. Will post pic under:
Does this mean it was running lean, tuner said they don't run lean due to the wideband O2's?
Compression test came back healthy...thank God.

Looks like octane booster was being used at some point. I'd put a new set of plugs in it, I'd recommend the ford racing m50a plugs gapped at .026. I'd not use the 6510s pictured there.

I was using VP unleaded octanium (16oz) per tank as I was seeing a lot of knock at WOT pulls during the tuning process, the octane booster brought it to basically zero knock in all conditions. Was I running too much or what should I do?

If it was me I'd get with your tuner and lower the timing, this is a common problem I see on boosted cars running 93. Some tuners have the tune too aggressive with the timing and fuel being used. Some gas stations the fuel is inconsistent as well.

just start walking it down til you see knock again at wot. 14oz, then 12, 10, 8, 6 etc, til you start seeing knock and that will give you a good idea
