Very few automatic trans

I'm looking for a base GT with automatic trans and not having much luck. Most of what I've found are manual transmission cars. Since my wife will drive the car some, she prefers an automatic as do I.
Anyone know why so few are available? Is there a hold or parts problem on them?

I've only seen one other base GT in person, and it had the PP/Manual Config.

Back when I stalked the dealer inventory, 95% of the cars were GT premiums with miscellaneous packages on them.

If I hadn't ordered mine, The closest car I could find would have been a Triple Yellow Base GT w/ PP and nothing else :shocked:

One may eventually pop up, but if you want to ensure yours is exactly how you want it, you may as well order it!

Yeah dealers usually stock order base models with manuals & premiums with autos.
I ordered a base GT auto.

Minimum 3 months could be sooner now that production is picking up.

I ordered a base GT Auto 10/17 with an Est. Del. Date of 12/6, so 7 weeks IF that date holds. I have a Vin# but no build date yet.

My dealer refuses to order auto GTs for their lot. They've got tons of auto EB and V6 cars though.

I'm sure as time goes on they will start ordering more basic cars. Since this is a new model, they want to showcase all of the new stuff and probably most people buy ones with more options.

I've noticed the same thing. I ordered a base auto and have been looking online to see if any dealers have something similar to mine so that I don't have to wait and there doesn't seem to be any out there.
