I could be wrong but I seem to remember something about the 10R having a thermostat that makes this difficult for a flush machine. Can the fluid be changed using a vacuum pump?
It is better to change the filter with the fluid. Can the fluid be changed using a vacuum pump?
Dropping the pan is probably one of the easiest steps in this whole process, so doesn't really make much sense to not do it. I would say use a pump to evacuate some of the fluid out of the pan so that when you do take it off you don't make a mess (or make less of a mess). But I would not do it all with just the pump, as mentioned another good thing to do is replace the filter. Can the fluid be changed using a vacuum pump?
