My question is how well would will your ram air kit work with this
Shouldnt be a problem, the intake can slide deeper into the stock port if need be.

Does something like this run the risk of sucking water (rain/washing car) into the intake?

I'm nervous about having to remove the bumper. I guess there is no way to install it without taking the bumper off even if you dremeled out the solid honeycombs with the grill on the car?

This is a very interesting mod and I like the engineering of it.

If you're washing the car with the engine running you've already failed lol

You have to submerge the intake in water to get enough into the engine to hydrolock it.

Right, because no one ever goes through a car wash with their engine running. Just a simple question, brah.

I can't see why you have to remove the bumper, it's just like installing the stock air box however it's been extended, I'm sure you can many we it and squeeze it through the gap, the mouth diameter is smaller than the opening to the grill where it extends, I can't see the need to remove the bumper from what I've seen

hey if you can pull that off, that would be good.. I wasnt really able to, then again I didnt have the car long enough to experiment so I just pulled the bumper.

Let me know if you figure out a better way :hail:

I think it would be possible, can't see any reason it wouldn't be? Depends how flexible it is though, I will give it a go when I get mine and let you know! If I have to rip the bumper off someone else can take it off me lol

Rozay and I tried to slip it through the top of the bumper but it wasnt gonna work. The device gets sandwiched between the stock intake port and the grill, so I think you may need to pull the bumper, at the very least the grill.

The part is not flexible I doubt you'll find a way to squeeze it in without the removal of the bumper but more power to you if you can

using ninjaflex, it will collapse when it sees just a bit of pull from vacuum and will expand when it sees pressure when moving at highway speed, might not be a good idea.

Hah I feel you. You can give it a try. Just forewarning you, it took me 8 months to develop the machines I use to print parts strong enough and fast enough to be viable car parts. I also had to completely re-write the firmware, painstakingly redesign the machines and test them day in and day out before the machines were evolved enough to do this. Not trying to discourage you, but 94 dollars doesnt seem too bad when you try to do it yourself.
