I'm looking to upgrade the suspension for my V6. I'm looking for input for what I should start with. Thinking of lowering springs and K brace but would like input from you guys. Thanks in advance.

My last two Mustang GT convertibles needed some suspension improvements due to the "heaviness" of the front end. But the S550 V-6 vert I'm driving now feels very well balanced and I do not believe suspension mods would be much of an improvement. Or maybe it's just that the IRS works very well with the lessened weight of the Cyclone motor. I just love how this little vert "glides" around Texas Hill Country twisties.

I felt that way too after going from my 2006, then 2010 into the 2015, it just felt SO much better. Then I wanted to get rid of the wheel hop and noticed every time I did something it just got so much better, I was amazed! To start with, the lowering springs, I highly recommend it. Because my car will never be on the track I went with the Steeda progressive springs that do very well at absorbing the little bumps but then stiffen up quite a bit into a hard corner giving a good balance of street comfort and handling performance. Better performance comes naturally with the lower center of gravity too.

I've lowered all of my last 3 Mustangs. This time my wife begged me not to lower it because of the ride comfort in the last 2. In her words, the ride got better when I lowered this car. Mine is an EB PP and maybe it's just the springs they used in for the PP but this is much better than stock and I get the added benefit of appearance and handling.

After that I kept going since I was convinced there were improvements to be had and have transformed the car into a driver's dream. I LOVE to drive this car!

Suspension mods are a huge improvement no matter the engine size. I've got a good bit of em done. Soooo much better, and stock wasnt bad either. Springs or braces, depends on how much you wanna spend first. Springs may have to be done at a shop as well so that's more $. IMO do both eventually.

It doesn't matter if it's a V6, EB, or GT the suspension requirements are the same. The rear end on these are a little sloppy. I imagine it gets worse on the GT with the extra weight and HP. Springs for sure but I'd get the steeda subframe alignment and bushings as well. They are easy install once the subframe is dropped anyhow so no real extra work with the exception of the rear lower bushing. That's what Matt at steeda recommended for my suspension. Really cleaned things up. I did the install myself. Wasn't too bad. Took a few hours in my garage.
