Hello everyone! Recently, I have finally decided to buy a new Mustang as my first car (childhood dream). Originally I'm from Russia and I have just moved to Florida, Daytona Beach in August.

The question that bothering me is which one should I get? I'm not financing, cash. One dealership in Jacksonville has Family and Friends sale event for the next 3 weeks. Basically, you can save around 2k. In addition, I qualify for $500 college rebate.

I'm looking for a base V6 or EcoBoost. I've test driven both of them and don't really know which one would be better for me. The final price difference between two models is about $1500. With EcoBoost you get a different engine, power seats and fog lamps and a lit bit fuel efficiency. The color doesn't really matter except black one (not gonna work in Florida lol). I really like the Guard and Magnetic new colors but don't know if they are gonna work in Florida either.

I'm looking forward to hear any valuable advices! Thank you in advance!

If you don't plan on any modifications, the v6 will be fine. If you do plan on modding, the EB will be cheaper to a point (around 400-450 whp).

The most anybody should be paying is x-plan (probably same as that friends/family deal).

If your not caught up in all the bling and performance up grades that you can do the v6 is great for the money. If you would be ordering it (v6) get the 3.55 rear and the few options that you have to have. That's what I did. This will give you many miles of reliable good looking transportation

I ordered and now drive a V6, manual, 3:55 rear, TY, 2015 Mustang. I picked the V6 over the EB for a couple reasons.
One is that I wanted to avoid the "turbo lag" which is present with the EB I drove, even though it is small. I am a road racing autocross kind of guy, and with the manual trans the off throttle times may effect the application of power for a few milliseconds. Not much but I worry about it. Maybe would not be as much of a worry with the automatic.
The second reason is that I drive my Mustang as a daily driver, and I don't think that the EB will be as reliable in the long run. Just my opinion from observing other turbo cars over many years.
A third reason is that the V6 is a short stroke large bore engine design and as such gets it's power from revs. I just like to hear them scream!
