Using key fob to control windows

Has anyone tried using the key fob.to roll the windows up and down. I had a 14 fusion for a rental this summer and when I used the key fob and hit unlock once then held down the unlock it would roll all the windows down. When I did the same with lock it would roll them up.

Anyone try this with the Mustang?

Roll down works, roll up doesn't.

Yep, it has the global windows. Pretty cool feature.

On the Fusion, it's a setting in the left setting window on the instrument panel. You can set it so it only rolls them down, not back up.

That's great but a real P.I.T.A. when you need to roll the windows up when the car is not running.

Wish I had one to check it out. Just going off of what my girlfriends new Fusion has.

On topic:
On page 90 of the Owner Manual (Click here) it states that there is an option within the instrument cluster for the Windows "Remote Open or Close - check enabled or uncheck disabled"

On page 73 of the Mustang Owner manual That I have, it says:

GLOBAL OPENING (If Equipped)
You can use the remote control to operate
the windows with the ignition off.
Note:You can enable or disable this feature
in the information display, or see an
authorized dealer. See General
Information (page 83).
Note: To operate this feature, accessory
delay must not be active

Opening the Windows
You can open the windows for a short time
after you unlock your vehicle with the
remote control. After you unlock your
vehicle, press and hold the remote control
unlock button to open the windows.
Release the button once movement starts.
Press the lock or unlock button to stop
movement.

No mention is made of closing the windows, and I can't make it work on my car.

The windows only go down with this method in the Mustang, not up.

Great feature I did not know about. It will be nice to let out all the heat with this black interior next summer before I crawl in.

I agree it would be useful to have up and down. I'm sure it's for security purposes. Imagine a child sitting in the car and by mistake you press and hold the fob in your pocket and the windows close. It's 100 out. Oh no! Ford's fault??
