The Mustang has always been light on features...
I can't complain. I ordered my Mustang before any production models had even been built and at the time I only knew 3 things.

V8
5.0
Black.

I didn't even know the price :)

I guess first place to check is if someone at a dealer can look through the parameters available in IDS. Best case is it can be changed in IDS and is just disabled by default from the factory.

Good idea. I know a tech at my local dealership. I'll ask him the next time I see him.

Maybe I am missing something, like sleep.

How is this a safety issue?

If the inability to roll the windows back up is aimed at the safety of little children, don't leave them in the car to begin with.

And if you're dumb enough to do that, it's not like they can lock you out if the fob is inside with them, anyway.

And the window can't roll up and smash their hands if the car isn't on. Even if it did roll up, wouldn't it stop if there is an obstruction?

If you remotely open the window and can't close it, the kid could fall out, your dog could escape or some jerk could steal your laptop. Forget the rain.

Seems this should be all or nothing, not half-assed. :ninja:

Someone please enlighten me, I apologize that I can't see an obvious reason.

Well hopefully someone can figure out how to make the Mustang do it. This also tells me there isn't a problem with safety if Ford makes other cars that will do it.
My garage door opener installed in this house like 20 years ago has a safety feature that it stops the second it hits anything while closing. They can't get it for a car window?

Is your job that exciting? That a brief mid-afternoon break from it and a chance to stretch your legs isn't welcome?

On a military base fenced in on a flight line. I would have no qualms keeping my windows down to keep heat out but would love to be able to roll the windows up remotely in the event rain comes through. Can't just leave my plane to go roll up my windows so I opt to leave them up.

They absolutely do. Put something in the window while its rolling up, it'll sense pressure and go back down. Had a gf that showed me that with her arm lol.

It was frustrating the first time I realized I had to press the start button to get the windows back up after toying with the remote-down feature the one time I used it.
Close to D.C.; it should be a safety feature to disable remote-down, leaving the windows down would just invite some junkie to go spare-change digging or I'd have some monster spider crawl on me while running 60mph in traffic

Understood, and thank you for your service.

FWIW, every time I've been to Florida there's been at least a brief shower more days than not.

Not much of a safety feature, but you can disable the remote down. Read the owner's manual.
