I have several used GT350's for sale in my area and am close in buying one of them. looks like the difference between a '16 and a '17 is around $5k. Is it worth spending the extra money to get the '17? The one '16 I'm most interested in has the Track Pack and only 2k miles. It's been sitting at that dealer for about 4 months and I worry about future engine issues because of that. Also, they had it sitting outside during this last cold spell. It does look immaculate but that doesn't mean much, right? Any suggestions on what to look for are appreciated!

I would go for the 17 unless it was a low number 16. The only reason on the 17 is the coolers are already there.

16 track pack has all the coolers. What is the price on the 16 ? Check the oasis report to see if it had any warranty work done.

if the 17 has the technology package with the touchscreen and also the recaros, i would pay the difference for that one. the recaros are amazing compared to the upgraded leather seats.

The track pack will come with the Recaros anyway.

A '16 Track Pack is the same as a '17 base car. For '17, you could add all the electronics (i.e., big screen, nav, soft-touch door tops, exhaust switch, etc...) as an option and could get all that stuff with either the Recaros (called the Electronic package) or with the leather heated/cooled seats (called the Convenience package).

So, basically three flavors of car in '17, but all had the full complement of coolers that were only available on the Track Pack in '16.

Clear as mud, huh???

How can I get the Oasis Report? Only from the dealer? The car has the Track Pack, so the cooler is there but no Sync3, which is no problem for me since I don't use the radio. They sell it for $50k, is that a good price?

I believe the Oasis report is a dealer thing, they should be able to provide it.50k sounds like a good price for a 17 since most are still closer to mid 50s.

What was the milage?

I'm a piece of mind guy, and the '17 will come with a longer warranty so I would take that into consideration also. But a loaded out '16 with track pack would be fine if you are on a tight budget (ie extending yourself already as it is).

I consider this a long term keeper car, so getting the best from the start was critical to me as I'm the one creating the history of the car and knowing everything I can about it. A track car of this nature that has more miles on it would make me always wonder about how it was treated.

The GT350 is worth getting no matter how you have to do it.. so that being said, just do it!! :)

It's a '16, i could get a used '17 for $55k
i just got my '17 w/tech package for $49800 and it had 5600 miles on it... so i would try to negotiate for the '17, even tho you say you dont care about the sync 3, if it comes in at the same price as the '16 then all the better. show up to the dealer with a check, tell them $50k selling price for the 17, give them deposit and then go finance on your own somewhere. money will talk

Wow, that's great price for a '17. How much was it advertised at originally?

The one I'm eyeing sits at $58k at the dealer but he would let it go for $55k. Still way of what you paid.

it was listed at $52xxx.... i went there with a check, said i was serious and wrote down on their offer sheet $53,000 OTD.... they came back at $53,400 and i looked at my buddy like "what do i do now lol" i was not expecting them to come back that low, so i jumped on it. tax was $3000 and new tag was $560 so that left the cost of the car at $49xxx.

i would try something similar, especially if the car has been there for a little while. give them the out the door price you are willing to pay and let them make the numbers work

On a 2016 Track pack I would shoot for a price of $46,000 - $47,000 also make sure that is a Track pack and not just a base gt350.

There's people that have paid MSRP for R's, but that's extremely rare to. No matter how hard I tried, I never found an MSRP deal and I tried everything that people here did. You just have to look hard and be ready to pounce, period. What one person finds may not be representative of what you will find from my experiences.
