I doubt that's the case for cars with 1k miles tho. It takes a while for them to repo a car, and even if they defaulted immediately, highly unlikely, it would be 3-4 months minimum , which would probably be several thousand miles for this type of consumer, assuming that it's there only car (likely scenario considering that since they can't afford this car, they likely don't have multiple cars). Cars that are being repoed have usually been in the owners possession more than 6 months minimum (not including cars from buyherepayhere scammers). And with the relatively limited production numbers , I highly doubt there are more than a handful of these cars being repossessed. My 2 centsFord & other auto makers are once again experiencing a very high number of loan defaults, for the same reason as 6-8 years ago. They are making loans possible for anyone who is breathing. There are buyers who cannot afford a Shelby let alone most any other car, but still they come up with a down payment to sign a contract and say they own a Shelby. It's called irresponsibility, stupidity, and a few other terms. The car lots are filling up with loan default cars, and new car sales are down (Ford's August new car sales down 26.5 %). By winter there will be some great deals on used GT350s.
