I went through the same thinking. Bought a new Base GT. $30,999 including Black Appearance Package ($995) and 3.55 gears ($395). But I could have gotten a base GT with no options for just under $30K.

But there is something to the use 2015 GT Premium.

A dealer should agree 31,5 out the door on Auto 16 non premium GT. If you cant find that you can in Texas but gotta drive it back. Thats NEW!
Texas and N Dakota hit by oil crash so some low mile 2015 can be had used at a steal.
Look for
28-32 private party Premium auto.
24-30 non Premium auto.

Since you're not gonna be at the track or windy roads, you won't notice the IRS vs solid rear (so much). And it sounds like a cruiser for you, so luxury is important. Whether it's a 2013/4 or 2015 used, it sounds like you'd prefer the leather. Whatever you get, get the premium (this is coming from a base PP 2015 owner).
