I am looking to replace the rear deck emblem on my Mustang GT. The owner before me decided to put a regular Mustang badge on the rear decklid. Thought it was unique at first, but now I am starting to miss the GT emblem.

I am looking at getting a replacement one from either UPR or CJPP:

https://www.uprproducts.com/15-23-mustang-gt-rear-emblem-black-ford-official-licensed/

Have you guys boughten from either and if so, which one do you recommend I go with?

Unfortunately CJ Pony Parts does not give the Ford P/N. In that they are both licensed by Ford, they each would have to comply with Ford expectations (With Ford's name on them Ford does not want their name to be hurt through inferior product).

One UPR offering I liked was that they had a Black Chrome option, albeit more expensive. It still gives the subdued, classy look.

So what you're saying is I can't go wrong with either basically.

If it is Ford Licensed, I personally feel better about purchasing such item. While Ford may get a royalty on licensed items, Ford is also protective of their image. They're not going to knowingly condone inferior products, in that a licensed product reflects on their name.

I bought from UPR before, not badges, and they are a good company to deal with. And the badge you want is 5 bucks cheaper from them. Just my 2 cents.

Yeah that's what I ended up doing. Plus it was free shipping.

My dad put UPR emblems on his Mustang. Swapped all the black emblems for red (his Mustang is Shadow Black). Quality looked good so you should be good OP.

What does the emblem look like now?
This is what it looks like now. Looking back, I kinda wish I had gone with the matte black instead of gloss black because it’s blends in with the rear deck lid some. But it’s definitely better than what I had before in my opinion.
