Upgrading SYNC 3.4 to 3.4.23188

My current SYNC version is 3.4.21194. I want to upgrade to .23188 since my car says I have an update available. I am using the USB method.

The first attempt took about an hour with a slow crappy USB thumb drive. Not even sure it took. I tried again with a fast USB thumb and it says Updating system software, then it states, right away, installation failed error code LST_ERR05. I researched this code and its a missing Maps license file. Here's thing thing, my car did not come with Nav or maps.

So, the car seems stuck at .21194 and not sure what to do. Not even sure I need the newer version. But, I have had issues with Car Play - never connects.

I also did my upgrade using Cyanlabs. Pay attention, however, since according to their site, using the wrong files/procedure on 2020 or newer can brick your module...

I did the latest update via wireless connection to my home network. It was the easiest, smoothest, fastest update I ever tried.

Agree, must be careful... hence the read is important!!!

my issue is that cd album art and metadata is not working...i just get track 1, track 2 and so on.
i just updated to the latest using cyanlabs...i did a cyanlabs update last year and same thing...i think it has something to do with gracenotes.

Interestingly, I have a 2019 model, and my current sync is 3.4.23188. It automatically downloaded and installed at some point in the past few months.
