I am looking to upgrade from 3.3 to 3.4 using the Cyan Labs work around. I saw they have a Microsoft updated. All the videos I saw dealt with doing this with 2 USB’s but cyan labs says with the update it can be done with 1. Has anyone done to this way? I know there is always a risk doing these things but has anyone used this 1 usb way without issues? Just looking for a bit more info before I do it. I have downloaded everything but not put it on a usb yet to take it out to the car. Figured I’d ask here beforehand.

If you are already on 3.3 you don’t need to do the whole reformat process from that Cyanlabs website. You just need to install the 3.4 files like a normal update.

Where were you able to get the 3.4 file? From cyan lab or if ford going to bring it out?

Ive just downloaded the cyanlabs 3.4 for my 2019 GT running 3.3. Just follow the very straight forward instructions on the cyanlabs site. I havent uploaded it on the car yet as it states it can take up to 60 mins

The general consensus is 3.4 wont ever be available officially from Ford for 2019's and before that didn't come with 3.4 in the first place

I followed the Cyanlabs upgrade on my module and it took about 25 minutes. Everything seems to be working well for the most part. The only thing i have noticed is that the brightness is grayed off and in nav I have full screen and highway exit info but not the amount of turns left. Other than that everything works well

But just to be clear you have 3.0, not 3.3. Different software and hardware.

I got my screen and module from a 2019 fusion with sync 3.3 from the factory. I used the 1 usb route from cyanlabs to upgrade to sync 3.4. It's pretty fast and aside from those mentions it works well

My 3.3 to 3.4 cyanlab 1 usb auto install method took 55 mins with the nav update as well

I have nav also. Mines took 25 minutes or so. Is the brightness on the display section grayed off for you?

That seems crappy. Are we sure 3.4 won't be available? I was really hoping for it.

Same, but no news since last december when we first saw 3.4... I don’t know.
I think I will wait a bit more before doing it manually
At this point very, very slim, and none. My bet is there is just enough difference between 3.3 and 3.4 to make the update not possible , at least from Ford. The differences between 3.3 to 3.4 are minimal so you have to decide if it is worth forgoing your warranty to use Cyanlabs.

I’m thinking not worth it at this point for not a major upgrade

Hmm that is strange. I had a 2019 GT for a while and I did upgrade 3.3 to 3.4, per a thread on this forum that had a link to the download. It worked just fine. When Ford bought back that car and I picked up my 20 the salesman was surprised to see I already had the new software on my old car. So I do know it's possible to get on 3.4 for some 19's at least.

You did the Cyanlabs update as there was never an official one from Ford. I'm impressed that your salesman knew enough to know you had 3.4 but to stupid to realize it was unofficial. Hopefully they sent to car to auction but heaven help the new owner if he ever decides to do an official update.
