Anyone still using MB Quart components?
I have 2 component sets of the original "Made in Germany", original MB Quarts in my Cobra. IIRC, I think MBQ was bought or acquired by another company a few years back, so I'm not sure of their quality today.
The set up in my Cobra, which was done nearly 15 yrs ago (which I may try to replicate in my EB):
Amp: PPI 5440 (Precision Power)
Sub: Kicker 10" SoloBaric (original round design) in correct size enclosure
Front Speakers: MB Quart RCE268 component set (6x8's w/ tweets/x-overs)
Rear Speaker: MB Quart (can't remember model #) Reference Series 5 1/4" component
Wiring/Cables: all Monster power cables, speaker wires and RCA's
Head Unit: Nakamichi CD400
All components in that car are hidden - the only thing anyone sees when looking in the interior is the Nak head unit (I like to retain stock appearance). Obviously, I wouldn't use similar head unit in my EB due to SYNC3 equipment, but I may do same components as above - the sound has always been incredible and I've always received tons of compliments.
