Was at the Ford down by me two days ago and was informed if I ordered today that the car would realistically be delivered around March. The sales guy initially said 120 days give or take and then came back and said his manager informed him that's not an accurate estimate and March would be closer to an actual delivery. Unfortunately I don't want to take delivery of the car in winter so I am waiting another 2 months or so and hoping that the car would arrive in April/May.

In Arkansas...if we get any snow or ice, it is usually around February. However, with this cold front moving in now we might have a white christmas

Statistically... majority of the convertibles are usually V6... with higher insurance premiums... unless you can afford it, it's a small deterrent... I love the roofline of a coupe personally security as well... not too bash the converts...

Believe I have thought about this because I live on Long Island too and I am beyond anxious but I would rather have it in summer and not bash it with snow and road salt as soon as I get it. Waited this long, another 2 months will seem like an eternity but it is what it is at this point.

You only were given a "current build week". This is still showing in your code:

"currentBuildWeek": "2014-10-26 19:00:00"

Your Window Sticker link won't work until that date gets closer. Then you can search in the code for "currentbuilddate" and you will have an estimated build day.

This will be the same date that will show on your Window Sticker (AKA, Blend Date).
I was given a currentbuildweek last week. That was showing 10/28/14 last week. However, now, there is no currentbuildweek for my order. Check out VIN: 1FA6P8CF6F5322633

Am I missing something?

I was thinking of putting my order on hold (prio 99) until Feb or so but now I'm worried if I did that it would get delayed and not get till June. I just can't risk not having it for spring so will take delivery end of this year.

Using your Order # and Dealer Code (which I was able to find using your VIN), this is what source code says:

"currentBuildWeek": "2014-10-26 19:00:00" , "receiptDate": "2014-06-24 19:00:00" , "vehicleLineDescription": "Mustang" , "bodyDescription": "P8C V8 Coupe" , "priorityCode": "15" , "railRamp": "2K" , "lastCompletedStatus": { "status": "Scheduled to Week"

I wonder if sometimes the VIN is independent of finding a slot for the build date.

From "Racheal corporate eavesdropper" (rumor has it that she had to file a restraining order on 'the most interesting man in the world', i.e., that is hot) I got the following "the VIN is xxxxxxxxxxxx. Your Mustang is currently "In Order Processing" and it looks like it will be toward late October to schedule to build (subject to change). "

your vin works with population fields closer to the build week. Hence why your car, when ordered, was not given a VIN then...just a dealer code, order number.
