Don't wait too long. Better to get it early cause you know the first warm weekend, late March/ early April, when all the cars start popping up on the street that've been hibernating all winter & everybody's out in their driveways washing them in shorts and tee shirts.. you'll be really sorry you don't have yours yet.
Have you dealt with them before? Buying one off the lot from them is no problem but they really don't like to order cars which might be one of the reasons they told you March.
I haven't. The salesman was cool though very helpful and didn't seem bothered at all. He took all my information and put my order together so all I have to do is go back with a $1000 deposit and tell him to click the order button. He was understanding of me wanting to wait too. And he even said he would call me when the one they have on dealer order shows up so that I could test drive and sit in it. He said it would be no problem and they expect in sometime in November.
I suspect on 10/14 or 10/15 someone will post the latest comodities list and it will state which build weeks are being scheduled on 10/16.
Current build weeks are always a Sunday. Retail orders were given 10/19, 10/26, and 11/2.

Will Ford still process retail fastback orders on 10/16 by assigning a VIN number and a November build week? ….OR…..
Will Ford totally ignore/deny ALL outstanding buildable retail fastback orders until November , THEN assign a VIN and build week?
That is what I'm trying to see has been confirmed or not.
Is there reputation really that bad? I was told that they already placed orders for a few people and it would be no problem. They also told me the xplan is no problem either and that any rebates available in addition if at all would be ok too. I don't see how they could squash an order on a car like this anyway because right now it's not like there's 30 of them sitting on their lot like a ford focus. I'm also not trying to get the car earlier anyway I actially want the car in April/May. Last time I went to Sayville Ford I walked their lot looking at 14s for a good half hour 45 minutes and never was approached by anyone. Maybe I should go back though?
