I wonder when they switched to Job 2.

I ordered on 7/26 and do not have Job 2 on my invoice.

I ordered on 08/08 and I don't see Job 2 on my order. Hopefully I make the job 1 cut.

I believe this is the case. I would assume all the retail/customer orders ordered up to a certain date and any remaining dealer stock orders up to a certain date would be scheduled sometime in the next 1-3 weeks and be a continuation of Job#1. (minus the convertibles of course)

Lets get something straight once and for all. Is there (2) JOB2 Dates? One for Fastback/Coupes and one for Convertibles? Ford has said from the very beginning of the 2015 Mustang launch that Convertible production and Build will be delayed until JOB2. Now what JOB2 are they talking about?

Those of us awaiting the opportunity to place a 2015 Mustang" Convertible" Order have been left in the dark way too long. Perhaps a little "transparency" and tentative Real-Time Production Dates (subject to change, of course) would be indicated?

I do feel for you convertible orderers. My wait has seemed long enough as it is. I think there are a lot of issues going into the extended time of convertible production. Time of year is the biggest one probably followed by it is a niche within a niche so small sales numbers aren't driving Ford like that with the fastbacks. Funny but one may need the patience of Job (from the Bible) to wait for Job2.

Same as me. From what I have read, this means we are Job 1.

Yep! Hopefully we'll see VINs assigned and estimated build dates soon!

Side note... I came across this in COTUS. I don't see estimated delivery dates on Stock orders, but I think we'll see one on our Retail orders:

You don`t need to quote from the Bible, The Koran or The Torah for that matter. Those of us that live in South Florida, Southern California and South Arizona want the damn Cars now. Fall and Winter in Convertible weather. Top is "up" and A/C in engaged all the time once late Spring and Summer is upon us. Fact Check.... Sept is the hottest and most humid/uncomfortable Month of the year from Orlando to Key West. Only after Mid-Oct and Columbus Day do we get a peek of relief. Fact #2, the Rental Car Companies in popular tourist destinations can`t get their hands on these Cars fast enough. They will be the first to receive early allocations.

Do you think Job 2 coupes would be built before convertibles?

I received this from FORD today:
Hello Chris,

My name is Rose, I am from Ford`s Customer Relationship Center (CRC). I have reviewed your email inquiring about your 2015 Ford Mustang order.

Our records indicate that your vehicle is In Order Processing. There are a great number of variables that may affect production scheduling and delivery:

· Option packages
· Special powertrain combinations
· Delivery delays of components
· Certification and quality inspections
· Transportation of the vehicle to the specified dealership

As such, it is not possible to guarantee a specific delivery date. Additionally, please keep in mind that dealerships are assigned different allocations on a monthly/yearly basis. The number of vehicles allocated to a dealership would be based on several variables. A dealership's allocation will also affect your waiting period as your dealership will only have a certain amount of vehicles at their disposal. Please note that the average vehicle production period is from 8 - 10 weeks from the order submission date to the factory; not the date your order was placed at the dealership.

In addition, your sales representative at your selling dealership is in the best position to track your vehicle order. We recommend contacting the dealership's Sales Department for further assistance in this matter. You can always go to the website to track your order. http://www.cotusb.ford.com/

Thank you for contacting Ford Motor Company.

Sincerely,

Rose

I ordered on 8/11 and mine is job 2, dealer stock, priority 20. Still order processing, no VIN/build date. When I ordered, I ordered from the fleet manager who does all the ordering for the dealership. He said it would probably be sometime in November. I've heard rumors but no evidence of people saying in 2015....Brian Cotter in his question thread said it was too early to discuss Job 2...I hope he meant just for the verts.
