Jaime, funny you should ask that as I just asked Kent to send me photos of his seats so I can see what the differences are. Personally, I don't think there are any differences. I think Ford just changed the description of the Recaro seats in their literature. I will post photos of my seats here later today with a description of the materials used.
Sounds good, thank you.

I sure wish the inserts were normal upholstery leather rather than the suede or Alcantara, or whatever the heck it's called. And that high bolster is dangerous, men...be careful getting in and out and especially IN cuz that's when it hurts the most. I've done both like a moron and I can attest to the truth of that last statement. :-)

Here are my seats and as you can see from Kent's photos, there is no difference at least none that I can tell. The vinyl and Miko suede are all in the same places. I have said this before and what really bothers me is Ford lists these Recaro seats "leather trimmed". The ONLY leather on these seats are on the back where the Cobra is, the small patch above it and the small headrest area, that is it. In my Focus RS, the Recaro leather trimmed seats were leather in all the seating surfaces that our seats have vinyl. Not to mention they were heated and 6 way power with power lumbar support.

Yes Tom, all vinyl except these three black patches right here. I am seriously considering having it redone in leather. I had Katzkin full leather seating (including the backs of the seats) done in my Escape. It was Italian
leather and felt so nice to sit in.

Are the recaro's manual or electric??

I know in my R, I slide the seat all the way back to get out and adjust it when I get in. Makes getting in and out of the bolsters much easier.

Loved my non R electric seats as with no bolster, did not need to move seat to enter or exit the vehicle.

The Recaro's in the GT500 are manual. I don't have an issue getting in and out of them like some people I guess. Yes you cannot just slide right out of them and they are more of a pain to get in and out of but once you are in them, they are so comfortable.

I have gotten used to them but was spoiled with the AC/Heated seats in my non R. But, I do love the Recaro's for the track.

That is good to hear since I wasn't able to choose the standard seats. I hope I don't miss the heated and cooled seats like I have in my GT350.

While I never did like cooled seats, I have to have heated seats so the first thing I did was have seat heaters installed in the Recaro’s.

These are my first Recaro seats, I have always had the premium seats previously. I LOVE them, and do not miss the heated seats because I don't drive the car in weather that I need heat anyway. I don't like the cool feeling on my butt, so I never used cooling. I do miss the power seats, and the "easy entry", and the memory settings, but I quickly got over it because I like the look and feel of the Recaro better.

As far as getting in and out, I just reach down and pull the lever and the seat slides all the way back by itself. Then when I get in I just slide it back up.

Jaime, agree with not liking the cool feeling on the butt. As far as the heat, I don't drive the car in cold weather and where I live, it never snows and rarely gets very cold. In fact it is the opposite and our summers usually hover around 100+ during the day (86 right now as I am typing this). However, when I go out for a drive, say on a Saturday morning, I like to have a little heat to start off with because being up in age, it feels good on the old bones especially my back.
