Also, if your wife were driving the car (I know, hypothetically speaking) and she was in a dark parking lot, having that passenger door unlock when she unlocks the driver door could be a security risk.

^^
Exactly why that was the first setting I checked, I made sure that only the driver side unlocked before leaving the dealership. In South Florida security in parking lots is very serious. I was approached in a grocery store parking lot after dark, ONCE, I was approaching the trunk of my car to pack it full of groceries when a man walks out of nowhere and is next to my driver door (I never unlock my vehicle until scanning the area for creepers). I told him in a very stern and loud voice to back the fuck away from me or risk losing his manhood. I then calmly walked back into the store, explained what happened and asked for a male employee to please walk me to my car. My uncles were homicide detectives and they taught me to always be aware of my surroundings and not be distracted in parking lots, don't be texting, talking on your phone, or fumbling around for your keys. Sound advice!

is it the "unlock all doors first" ? I was going through the settings but none of them sounded like what I was aiming to do. I guess ill do some testing when I get home from work.
there is a quicker way, and good to use as dont need to be in the car

Press and hold both the lock and unlock
buttons on the remote control for three
seconds to change between driver-door
or all-door unlock mode. The direction
indicators flash twice to indicate a change
to the unlocking mode. Driver-door unlock
mode only unlocks the driver door when
you press the unlock button once. All-door
unlock mode unlocks all doors with one
press of the unlock button. The unlocking
mode applies to the remote control and
intelligent access. You can also change the
mode in the information display. See
