I just did my second full-tank with the car, meaning I could calculate my MPG.

Trip computer said 19.

Actual? 17.7 :eyebulge:

That is hell of an inaccurate trip computer :S
The manual (yeah who reads them) says don't attempt to calculate mpg until the car hits 1000 mile.

very impressive Centurion07 that does rival the EB!

Some stats from my NC500 adventure...
Total miles: 2100
Overall average mpg: 35.4
Highest range seen: 461 miles
Peak mpg: something around 37!
Fuel: all regular
Overall average since new: 32.6 (9600 miles)

I'm still well impressed with that. Admittedly there were a lot of motorway miles, but when I got the chance, the car was pushe hard. Sport+ mode too. What I like is that it hits the quoted average from Ford which I wasn't expecting.

Those v8's saw some staggering mpg too though. Stevec even was hovering around the 30 mark until he went out with Mac & Gibbo for the day

Just passed 1000 miles and only getting 16.6 mpg average on a mix of roads. I was surprised at the lack of low-down torque, but coming from revvy NA Jap stuff, I was already used to driving round in 2nd gear!

I usually get around 30mpg in EB auto, but it can drop nearer to 25 if I do lot of town driving, which is pretty much in line with the consumption figures in the price list. It has improved about 2mpg since I got it (I've now done around 7K).

I usually find I average about 10% under the published combined fuel figure, so this is better than I expected.

I am very surprised that the consumption doesn't drop too much at higher speeds; I am in Germany again, and cruising at 95mph only sees it drop to around 27mpg - the turbo is hardly spinning so there is little boost kicking in. Given the poor aerodynamics of the front end, I was expecting a lot worse...

I guess the manual would be 15% to 20% better, but I find the convenience of the auto in traffic jams makes it well worthwhile, and it is a clever box - I hardly ever override it now...

I just stick with 95; I was going to experiment with 98 or 100 for a while, but have just never got round to that.

The trip computer shows overall average at 26.4 mpg at 4600 miles so thats likely 25mpg true. On a recent A road & motorway trip I got a calculated 29mpg on winter tyres a 2 mpg improvement but no holdups & bad weather helped. I got my best range figure of 430 miles usually 330 miles. Knocking around I get 23/24 mpg with little town driving. Overall average speed is 34mph, no doubt depressed by all the time spent fiddling with settings when the elapsed time is counting up & going nowhere. I've only run it on 95RON.

quite impressed for a v8 but still didn't buy it for its economy :)
