Maybe. I guess the way the coyote makes power coupled with the higher gears explains the issue. The A10 had more ratios to choose from so always responded well with strong acceleration regardless of speed
That may be the way to go, never had a tune on my two previous S550s. Donāt get me wrong, it is a quick car but very easy to get caught out in real world driving - leaving a junction, exiting a roundabout etc. I know how to drive it and change gear at the right time but still it can get caught...
As a Uk manual owner, I havenāt tried 0-60 properly but sadly, to me, the car does not feel remotely capable of <5s. Has very little shove until past 4K rpm, one of the only disappointments I have in the car. Pinning the throttle at say 5mph in first or 20mph in second results in very little...
+1 for the steeda H pipe. Fitted one to my EU Mach1 recently- sounds ace, no drone or other unpleasant noises. Great noise when decelerating/on the overrun
Indeed i will - but didn't do get round to doing the change at the weekend! For the record, i will, as always, put a thin smear of oil on the filter o-ring
or try this: AIRAID Direct Fit Replacement Air Filter for Mustang Bullitt/Mach 1/GT| Nemesis UK
I recently fitted the blue dry filter, no issues and pleased with product
I'm sure this is possible with multiple attempts and clutch abuse, but doesn't reflect how it's driven in the real world i.e. starting from low rpm and hitting the throttle vs high rpm and clutch dump start.
Yes, i know this and it does come alive above 4k rpm. My point is that the majority of starts in the real world aren't like this and in normal operation it's very slow to respond. Sadly not exactly practical to do 4k starts every time you stop at a junction, roundabout etc!
I just feel it's a...
Tried the A10 last time, although a great box and quicker it just doesn't have the feel of driving the manual, nor the tone (never been a fan of that stupid slurring noise autos make when they shift vs manual)
This explains why my UK manual Mach1 takes an age to get moving then, i really can't see it getting anywhere near 5s to 60mph. Having done 1400 miles now, driving normally (i.e. not a planned standing start at higher rpm) setting off and mashing the throttle provides very sedate progress until...
