The lever that actuates it on the caliper has seized and a new one will have to come from USA and won't be here 'til Feb. Looking for a OSR caliper for a 2016 GT to get be back...

  5. What did you do to your UK S550 Mustang Today

I agree. Haven't quite lost faith, just that I know that when I do sell it on and it drives off into the sunset I won't be giving it a backwards glance. An itch that has been scratched I'd say. That said, I'll get to 100k miles first
  6. What did you do to your UK S550 Mustang Today

Last week, I Monday, watched a fiesta sit on the drive (as it had for the previous 2 weeks) Tuesday, picked up the GT from Bristol Street Ford having had to have a new air con compressor (seized) and a rocker cover oil leak (apparently a service bulletin) fixed at a 60% discounted cost...

  9. How dirty is yours at the moment ?

Clean now it's been serviced. They even vacuumed the mud out of the carpets Before, not so much.. Used every day so getting a bit blasé about it, no point bothering in the winter. 70k miles on the clock now

  14. Real world Oil change interval

My light usually (Annoyingly ) comes on at around 9300 miles. I reset the message and crack on to 10000-ish then get it serviced. Seems ok so far. Admittedly I do a fair amount of long trips so it does stretch it's legs a lot. We'll see, I'm happy to be the guinea pig, 67000 miles now. So far...
  15. Touch up paint

I second that - Mine is magnetic and used this stuff for a couple of years - peppered with stone chips (>60k miles) but you can't see most of them where I had the patience to follow the instructions !
  16. HOW COLD IS NOT COLD ??

I have noticed that whilst mine is cold when driving along it is much less so when idling. Prob just airflow through the evaporator I guess but could it be that it needs re gassing? Never been done and car is just over 3 years old
  17. Damaged s550, how much to repair?

This was mine Similar to damage I had when someone backed into mine in a car park. The idiot was driving a land rover with a spare wheel on the rear door:headbang: Insurance job but the whole panel was replaced.
  18. First MOT

Had mine MOT'd a couple of weeks ago. Nothing major - just an advisory about a worn rear suspension arm (which they then replaced under warranty 4 days before it expired  ) and an advisory about uneven front tyre wear - slightly more serious as it turns out the wheel was buckled rather...
  19. Why are GTs so slow on Motorways?

So here's the thing - clue is in the name GT = Grand Tourer. Having driven the thing for 3 yrs and 60k miles no one could convince me it's a sports car. It's a big old heifer that can push on a bit but is happiest burbling along, admittedly quickly but burbling nonetheless. What the op saw on...
  20. New member

Don't think it's your fault - use mine every day and front disks warped, rears rusted. Had to replace the lot.
