Which do you prefer and why? About to pull trigger on Flex tune and only want to purchase the best device. AED prefers SCT, Wengerd RTD and not sure what the other big name tuners prefer.

Good question as I'm curious to this as well. Was going to upgrade my sct x4 to ngauge due to the x4 bricking my car when reverting to stock. But since ngauge is no more... Keep in mind I was talking to pbd and the rtd requires additional $200 on top of tune and device just for tuning license fee. Also needs laptop to datalog.

That would be close to 1k? That’s a pretty penny for an Na tune an device setup.

Exactly, and that's not counting e85/flex which is extra $100 with pbd. I take it you haven't check Lunds pricing yet as well? $799 then $250 with flex/e85

Just FYI , Lund says they will no longer be using SCT X4 to tune .

Yes, and maybe a bit off topic BUT if you think that is bad, you should have seen my sticker shock when I tuned my 19 SS Camaro. MPVI2 with 4 credits for PCM: $489.00 + Flex fuel sensor kit: $230 + Tune (from a tuner) $600 + AEM wideband $250 and if you want your A10 trans tuned: ship TCM to HPTuners for unlock: $200 and 3 HPtuner credits for TCM access: $150. For a grand total of around 1,900.00 :) Mustang tuning is a steal comparatively speaking.

I use a diablosport. Not too many people Ford tune with CMR but the data logging and features (thank you constant updates) are second to none.

yikes! Tony@Unleashed sold me a BDX and 2 turns (93 and E30) for like $500 for the 1LE.
I had a long conversation with Tuning by James (the guy Steeda uses) the other day and he prefers the X4 because it doesn't require WIFI and is less buggy than the newer BDX.

If you use Brett @ Pray, Ted @ Janetty and I believe Gwatney (although not completely sure) they use HPT and that is what they require.

The Trinity 2 is the best monitor on the market. Underused in the Ford world for sure.
