Hello I have a 2016 gt with roush axle backs and x pipe by pypes and I want to add cold air intake but not headers only because where I live and my current set up is loud enough but I still want to be tuned on e85. We’ll I want to know if that’s possible and would it still give me good whp any one have a set up like this and can give me a rough estimate what number would look like

Hey Andrew, I don't have headers yet and tuned for E85. It feels like a completely different car. It's definitely possible. I'm also running a ported '18 manifold and made 406 WHP a couple weeks ago.
Damn that’s nice! I’m gonna do it then should I get 2018 ported magnifold or one from a get350 ? And also are you straight e85?

It's actually a flex tune for 93 and E85. You'll need injectors if you want to run E85. Watch some videos on manifolds. There are some good comparison videos on YouTube that should help you decide which route to go.

Before you add more power, I recommend good tires and suspension work to plant the car nicely.
Okay thank you i definitely will and yeah because these 255 Perellis are not cutting it first and second gear just spinning and fish tailing

A few years ago Hot Rod Magazine did a test on coyote manifolds and the 18+ mani kept up with the GT350 mani and came within 1 hp at the top end and made gains down low that the GT350 could not do. Also the 18+ keeps the IMRC valves if you want them, whereas the GT350 eliminates them. And finally the 18+ is about 1/3rd the cost of a 350 manifold. It's a no brainer for me, but it's your money.

That's exactly how my car was. I put some MT tires on the stock wheels and the BMR CB005H kit a couple days apart. Those two things made a huge difference. After this the car felt like it needed more power.
Damn no doubt thanks bro I really appreciate it !!

This is false the GT350 manifold imrc plugs directly into the Gen 2 wiring harness with no modification needed unlike the 18 mani which requires the wiring harness modification that I've read causes alot of CEL codes.

Where are you getting your info from? The 350 manifold DOES NOT have IMRC valves, never did. There is an adapter harness to hook up the valves on an 18+ mani on a gen 2 coyote and then you need a tune to make them work and to tune for the new mani anyway. They also make lockout plates to lock them open if that is what you want.

The 18 would also keep iats down vs the open intake of the 350.

I happen to have the gt350 intake on my Gen 2 and it in fact ships from Ford with imrc pre installed and vac lines routed and they plug right in to the oem harness. See my attached pic

When did they change it? When it first came out and sold over the counter, it didn't have them.

BTW I just looked and the price has come down drastically, LMR lists it for 629, where as American Muscle still wants over 1K for it.

I dunno if or when they changed it. As far as cost if you go to your local Ford dealer and get the oem version which is the exact same as the Ford racing version you can get a great deal. I got mine for $520 directly from my local Ford dealer

This is great info Mdtaylorjr, much appreciated. Do you happen to know the part number for the OEM version? And does it come with the throttle body?

It doesn't come with the throttle body but it did come complete with all gaskets and imrcs installed. I already had the TB and Cai from a used pp2 I bought on ebay. The oem part # is gr3z-9424-c I believe
