Tune without CAI?

Ruby red 2019 GT Premium.
What are you guys setting your rev limiters at with your tunes?
I set mine to 7500 but it only seams to work when using the paddle shifters for some reason. While leaving it in drive or S. The car shifts at 7 grand.:shrug:

Your tuner would need to adjust the shift points, not just the rev limiter.

Weird how these redline at 6800 and the old was 7k. The midrange gains in these tunes are awesome.

What type of dyno are those graphs from, guys? The stock numbers seem a tad low? I know on a mustang dyno i made 372/370. Dynojet (obviously) will be higher.

I ran on a Dyno jet.

I would suggest a mustang dyno with 5th gear pull if you want to see what the car is really offering.

That is what i ran when i put down 372/370. I felt it was a tad low tho, even the shop owner said the same. His dyno is notorious for being a little greedy. I'll take it with a grain of salt. However, seeing some other stock numbers on a dynojet makes me feel somewhat better. (even tho there are numerous variables that come into play)

Figured I'd throw a reply in here will all of the dyno testing we have done along with other independent sources. Intakes DO make power, at least ours do!

Bama's test tune only and then adding JLT.

Our very own 2015 GT, we base lined our car on a dyno dynamics and dyno jet, it made 381-384whp on both.




Another local customer's 2015 GT that allowed us to test on the dyno, this car had 250 miles on it at testing! Intake and tune





SVT Performance's testing, JLT picked up 11whp peak over tune only.

So as you can see the lowest test shows 9whp, with typical results 12-15whp over the stock box. $29/hp @ 12whp. Hard to find a bigger bang for the buck with more independent testing

Thanks for the charts Vinny! This resonates with what Bama said in their videos. Very little difference in CAI and stock airbox until higher RPMs. CAI starts to separate itself above 5K.
