Seems the factory clutch starts having issues holding around the 500 rwhp range. Wondering what the preferred upgrade is for a street car, non DD that will handle some drag and road course action but also have decent manners on the street.

Is yours slipping already? What kind of power are you making? I think you might want cerametallic discs for drag racing.

Nope not yet but I have upcoming work to be done that would make replacing the clutch at the same time a logical time to do so. I prefer to avoid issues when they are inevitable and when doing preemptive upgrades makes sound financial sense. Back in the day Centerforce was the go to for clutch upgrades but recently it seems they aren’t performing well in the S550. McLeod is another option.

Makes sense to me. Mantic and Ram Pro Street twin disc are also options.

I believe you're thinking of the 15-17 single disc clutch. The twin disc in your car should be good up to 750 unless you're an absolute ape with it
