I noticed some drips on my garage floor. Had a quick peek and it looks like I have transmission fluid leaking from somewhere (based on the red fluid on the bolts). Anyone have a similar issue before?

I'll try to get the car up on my lift this weekend to have a look. I haven't tracked the car in over a year but it has been quite hot here in general.

Another picture. Maybe it's leaking from that plug?

Okay so it's either the drain plug or the cooler line fitting

That's definitely annoying to find on your garage floor. Definitely get it up on that lift and check the cooler lines and the shifter seal—those are pretty notorious for weeping on these cars even when they aren't being pushed hard. If it's not coming from the breather vent like some guys mentioned, it's worth cleaning everything off with some brake cleaner first so you can actually trace where the fresh fluid is tracking from after a quick drive. Good luck, hope it’s just a loose fitting or something simple.

Thanks! I went underneath the car earlier and it looks like the rear-most transmission cooler line fitting is leaking. See the pictures above. My AC has been dead for a year now so I think I am finally going to have to take this thing to the dealership and make use of my PremiumCare ESP.

This applies to GT500s, but you may have the same problem.
Hmmm yes looks quite similar. Between this and my AC being out (as well as the rear view camera recall I was hit with) I'm finally taking it to the dealership next week. Might as well use my ESP.

yes, this… have you done anything to the tranny in regards to draining/filling/servicing?

The Ford tech manual references; the seal and the keeper inside the tranny cooler lines is the only reason I’m asking šŸ˜‰

fun fact…the same wording got me in trouble with Denver Air Traffic Conrtrol šŸ™Š

:giggle:
I did change the tranny fluid about 10k miles ago. And it hasn't been leaking for that whole time. So I'm leaning toward the transmission cooler fitting. Plus that sits higher anyway and the area up top has tranny fluid residue.
