Transformers 4 Camaro

I just saw this on Camaro5. They just got shots of the modern versino of the Camaro from the next Transformers movie and it's actually been redesigned. They're speculating on whether this is a preview of the 6th gen camaro redesign.

"While the Camaros in the first 3 Transformers movies were essentially production version Camaros with some unique aero parts added, the Transformers 4 Camaro will feature special bodywork - especially the front end. The entire front end is custom - from the futuristic looking LED headlights to the grille, to the front spoiler lip. The rear fenders feature an air vent and aggressive lower door character line and side skirts. The rear features vents on the hind quarters and a sporty diffuser, as well as a high spoiler."

Once again, Chevy in lockstep with Ford. Both maybe using the big screen to showcase some styling cues in next redesign?

Yes it does look like they'll be using the big screen to promote the cars. The headlights are kinda cool and I like the yellow Goodyear lettering on the tires. But I'll take any Mustang over that car. :ford:

Slim futuristic LED headlights, fender vents, aggressive lower door character lines and side skirts...... isn't this everything they are putting in the Need for Speed one?

Do these 2 cars HAVE to keep mimicking each other? :frusty:

It feels like they all get together in a room and talk about the next trends in car design.

Those are some nice headlights and it's already better looking than the current Camaro. But I'll still have a 2015 Mustang thank you very much.

You actually like those? Just when I thought those lights couldn't get any squintier...

Also same hideous sharp lines and angles everywhere. If this is what the 2016 camaro will look like, sales will plummet compared to the next stang.

The next camaro should get a big facelift, much bigger than this tweaked camaro would be.

And if it doesn't, yes it will see sales plummet. The trend has not been good for it the last few months.

I think I like that. But it's not the "oh my God that's stunning" reaction when I first saw the grainy spyshot of the 5th Gen on Supercars.net all those years ago.

I do like this angle, that's for sure. But it's bugging me.............I have a feeling there's a rendering out there with a similar front end............edited to say...found it! Not identical, but along the same lines

Isn't that similar to the EVOS headl lights?

Insofar as they are thinner LEDs, yes.

Otherwise, looks pretty different to me. The entire industry is moving towards thinner and more discrete head/tail lamps. Not just Ford/Chevy.

The only thing I dislike about the car is the spoiler. Just looks stapled on as an afterthought to me.

If you compare it to the current Camaro, it is actually a lot more rounded edges in this version, especially the nose.

Here's a better resolution one. If you ask me, that's actually pretty cool looking. It's definitely better than the current one.

I bet the 5th Gen gets another refresh before it's axed. Makes me think there is another refresh coming this generation. Like... 2015 just to defend themselves against the S550.
In my opinion, the styling is getting worse. They are a slave to the original design and can't find an appropriate direction to take it in. The front looks like it doesn't belong on the car. The rear is HUGE compared to the front fascia. Looks like a foreign car...

The ass end is HUGE compared to everything else.

Now I know where I seen that car before... It's a fat Chevy Cavalier!!!

For some reason, this cars stance is funny.

They have adopted for the Mustang's C scoop. I'm not a big fan of the black all along the bottom of the car. The trim needs slimmed down a little, think '10-'12 Mustang Chevy... The front and side splitters make the car look like its 12 inches off the ground. BIG IMPROVEMENT ON THE LOWER GRILL!!! Lots of airflow is good. The mail slot has evolved into the upper grill, it may NOT be functional.

The Camaro actually looks like a Transformer... I mean.. It looks like a Transformers head.

I like some aspects of the car. The lower grille definitely looks better and the side skirts look good. The stance is really strange, it's got a crazy staggered look.

Anyhow, this is just a movie car. And transformers at that. They're not exactly going for realistic. It is based on a cartoon afterall.
