Yep. Thats definitely a major plus for me too. Do you get a lot of kids in Honda Civics wanting to race you like I do here in Kissimmee which has a huge Puerto Rican population ?
Mostly other muscle cars, couple of hellcats, and subarus. Theres this grey sti that beats the crap out of me like its nothing. The honda kids/crowd stick to themselves. Same as i dont bother vipers or ferrarris. It isnt anywhere near as bad as florida or new york. Esecially the whole put the car on 26s thing. Not one of those to report thankfully.
Proud to be who i am and all but its amazing how different the peoplw that are raised here are to the whole pr culture in the states

This is roughly where I'm at now, Military discount has save me quite a bit. Next upgrades are going to be suspension, Stop the Hop, then built motor further down the road.

How hard is it to install the aux feel system? How long did it take you?

Not hard at all. MAP ended up ordering me a special order controller from split sec with a built-in tach so it made things that much easier. 3 out of 5 difficulty IMO.

I bought my car for 24,000. Cheapest GT I've seen in town new is 28,800. So far I'm only 1200 dollars in mods into it. It's met my expectations. I wanted something that can get 28-30mpg cruising and go 12s. It'll do that and more. I feel I can personally run what a full Bolton and tuned GT can for the price of a stock GT.

Yeah I hate that I can't beat them from a roll race. Soon that will change though :)

Keep in mind we have an import tax on every car ever made.

Paid 35k for a pp non premium. 2500 in engine mods, base gts at the time were going for 42k, pps for 45k and prem pp for 49k. I currently smoke any form of stock gt. And as soon as someone sells their used stage 1 vvt ill fix my top end and smoke some modded gts too. Corners better on track days, smokes gts..
No brainer for me.
You're smoking GT's with $2,500 in mods, damn! What mods are you running if I might ask?

Cobb ap 500
Intake 200
Cat downpipe 400
Res delete 3 inch to 2 1/2 Y pipe for next to nothing i dont remember. DIY
Intercooler +pipes 850
Dvcc+cscc 480
Adams wastegate 140

Anything that doesnt make power is not on the list. I would have done those mods on the gt anyway. Technically i should take out the catch cans but they really are necessary. Then again they would also go on a gt..
I bought everything early and in a bulk and got a bit of a discount on things. Plus it came with a tune back when adam worked with map. And he was awesomely cool to refresh it afterwards when i got the black friday trans tune special. But still you wouldnt go past around 2700-800.

And all that equals to smoking gts. Doughnuts-in-the-macys-parking-lot torque and good power to keep up. Im working on getting a used vvt stage 1 and STILL with a tune and all wont break the 3400 barrier.

All i need for this car to be perfect is the 5th to 6th auto shift problem. Come on cobb!!!

I get that you're auto but 'smoking' GT's with those mods on pump gas in the heat/humidity of the Caribbean?

Vert turbo!!!!
On mods that I would have not have made on the GT??? Maybe $1000 for eco.

I picked up my vert for 33k... new gt vert was around 41k at the time (now they are around 38 to 40k). No brainer for me.

All I wanted was a vert that could do 0-60 in under 6 seconds and have a decent trunk for weekend getaways.

Tune alone gave me 0-60 (from 6.1 to 5.2)... I added some mufflers for sound and an air filter (I don't know why.... lol).

I would not have added any performance mods if I'd gotten the GT. I definitely would have replaced those two terrible back speakers though!!!!

I went back to my gun hobby lately... so no money for car. .357, .38, glock 9m, etc... in the last three months...

Fuel atomizes quicker in an enviroment of Heat and Humility !
Plus the 3 inch heals helps to distract the GT from hole shotting early .
