Hi guys

How do you completely shut off the traction control on a 2021?? I've seen vids on youtube on 2018,19 and 2020 showing you to press the traction control lever up and hold onto it, waiting for it to say advanced tra tion control off, but that didnt work on 2021.
Does anyone know?
Thanks Anthony

The car must be stationary, and your foot must be on the brake the whole time.
When did they change that? On my 15 I can fully turn it off with a long hold of the switch whenever I want. Stopped / moving / foot on brake / foot off brake. It doesn't matter I can do it whenever.

In fairness to monte87, the 2021 Owner Manual makes absolutely minimal mention as to where the TC/ESC switch is located. Just an easy-to-overlook one-sentence mention on page 174 (top of the right column), with no picture. Took me more than one read to spot it.

"The switch for the stability and traction control system is on the instrument panel."

Monte87 - sounds like there was a G-body in your driveway at some point. Any chance it was an SS?

Apparently something has changed. Holding the toggle up for a few seconds until I get the message turns mine off whether I am moving or not.

I don't know when then changed it, but this is what the 2020 manual says:

My 2018 manual says the same thing. I definitely get the message even with the car moving but now I wonder if the message is accurate. I typically only use it at the drag strip when I am stopped in the staging lanes with the brake on, anyway.

Why read the manual if I joined a mustang forum to learn about s550s? Ya know, I am a Founding Member of "Stangnet" for 20 years and never told any new members to goto the search button or read the manual.. I always took out the time to help another member, not deter them w reading a manual comment. Just shows me that some members are lazy to help and refer them to search feature and manual. But that's fine, to each his own.. in the matter of time it took u to write that lame answer, u could've shared the real answer with me.
Bro, another thing.. if you cant add anything constructive to my post, please dont comment. Thanks Anthony

I'm gonna try that, thanks

There manual sucks, it's all circle jerk w vague directions and still doesnt tell you how to shut full traction control off.. it only shuts partial traction control off, not fully.
Hey, yes there was 87 Monte SS as well as 87 GN. =)
