Yes, when I bought my mustang it had summer tires and I did not know and the dealer did not tell me. I drove it from Oklahoma to Kansas during a snow storm! Yikes! Before I found out I should not be driving below 50 degrees the back end frequently came out way more than it should have.

Yes. The car will pull some throttle for a split second until the car is under control

Yes. Only takes a second to be pointed in the direction of an impact.

Is no one going to mention how summer tires become extremely stiff and can literally crack open? Combine poorly paved roads with <20° weather and you're just asking for it if you're using summer tires. Traction control isn't some magic button that allows people to defy physics.

You can even lose traction, with summer tires, in perfectly dry/warm conditions before the ECU decides to adjust ignition and cam timing to reduce low end power. Be smart; don't be another youtube video for us to laugh at.

Trusting it to have your back for all situations is on par with using cruise control when making a brew in the back of an RV ... :cwl:

Be careful with ANY “Summer Only” tires on ANY vehicle when temps are below 50* - your ass end will come around quicker than you knew what happened after it’s already happened....

There are warnings in the Mustang Owner’s manuals as well as any tire literature that comes with the car regarding operation of the vehicle on Summer Only tires when temps are below 50*.

My P-Zeros currently have over 36k on them - and I’ve driven on them daily 24/7/365 through all seasons. Can they be driven on when temps are below 50, 40 or even 30? Can they be driven on in same temps when there’s rain or snow? YES. Use common sense.

Kind of an oxymoron, isn’t it? I have no doubt that you can control your car but years of traveling on the NJ Turnpike tell me you are in the vast minority.
