I'm interested. Anyone have thoughts? Any way to determine or derive the car history or if transmissions and/or engines have been rebuilt/replaced?

the cars that are remaining are:

Yellow #1
Red #8
Gray #11
Blue #13
White #16
Black #18

Anyone have an issue with any of the above cars or did anyone drive one of these specific cars and care to comment?

Todd

I drove white #16. No stripes. Great car, but wouldn't buy it. Some front end separation and chunky clutch. 14K miles in May.

I got the email as well today.
FYI they all have gen 2 engines.
I drove #4 a few weeks ago, which has been sold I see.

I drove yellow #1. Mechanically didn't notice any issues. Cosmetically, the front bumper (passenger side if I recall) was damaged/separated at the fender border.

Hi Todd -

I bought #14, as it was the car I drove when I attended the school a few years back. If you have a good relationship with your local Ford dealer, they can pull a full Oasis report showing all of the dealership work that was performed on the car(s). In my case, it was fifteen pages! Also, I sprung the 40 bucks for a CarFax just to see if there was anything that showed up indicating it had been to a bodyshop or that body parts had been purchased under its VIN.

I was okay with all the work done by the Ford dealerships, including two transmissions (plus a recent reverse synchro and refresh on the current transmission) and a new engine (Gen2) in late '19 just before it left Utah for Charlotte.

Hope this helps and I wish you luck with your decision.

Just some thoughts on the list of cars that are still available......

#11 Avalanche gray was the subject of quite a few comments over on the other thread about the Track Attack cars - seems there was some love for it by recent drivers.

#13 was driven by Dave Pericek once and is pictured in the GT350 coffee table books that were dealer promo items back-in-the-day.

They pitched one to me too. If they were 10K cheaper, I would do it in a heartbeat.

I drove Blue #13 in July 2021. I noticed more gear whine at low speeds than my 2020 HEP, but otherwise, I didn't notice anything amiss.

I drove the red #8 and it quit on me twice trying to just get out of the garage, and would not restart... they got it fixed and was fine after that.
What kind of prices are they looking for?

***EDIT***
Todd chimed in above while I was typing.... please ignore my ENTIRE post!

All sold so it really doesnā€™t matter anymore.
That said, I think I blew up #11 back in March of this year. I drove it so hard it just couldnā€™t keep up šŸ˜‚
Seriously though, lost complete oil pressure with only a couple laps left for the day.
The experience was the first on track for me although I did hit 163mph on the long straight.

Ok, ok that was a lie too.
