Track Tires

I am wanting to know if anyone has first hand experience with Nitto NT01/NT05s. I want to pick up a dedicated set of track tires and if I can stay brand loyal. I have already looked into Continentals and Michelins and have quotes for each.

I currently have Nitto NT555 G2s and haven't had any issues at all except, I have found their breaking point on the track.

I hope to get first hand feed back here...if you haven't used the tire Im not asking an opinion that I can find on my own(and probably already have) I just want to know about those specific tires.

For what you are asking, TMO might be a better source of information. Personally, I don't know anyone that uses Nitto, so I don't even have second hand experience, just what Tire Rack says about them relative to a SC3R.

I ran a set of NT01's for autocross on my '07 GT500 a few years back. Ran 275/35/18 square and was very happy with them. They held up quite well for a summer of autocross. (Non-SCCA events as the NT01's aren't the required 200TW.) Not sure if that helps or not.

I have heard of those as well, just haven’t looked them up yet. My daily street tires are the NT555 G2s. They held up well on my last track day but I was starting to find their breaking point.

Mines not a daily driver but I do run these tires on the rear. 305/45-27’s
