The question that I don't think I've seen answered is - what is the default throttle map in a non-Premium manual car. I would think it's not same as Standard in Premium one.
They are the same.

That actually stinks then.
Why? Premiums get track mode which the non premium cars do not. Ford isn't going to have two different standard normal mode calibrations for the same engine/trans where the only difference is how nice the interior is.

So if I have a base model and have a Pedalmax, I can hold the button for 5-8 seconds to turn off all the assist and this makes it essentially track mode?? Kind of confused. What is sport mode, is there a way to get there with a base model and Pedalmax? Sorry I feel all of this is already in the thread, just hard for me to follow.
Thanks.

You can vary the PedalMax settings to replicate the throttle response in sport or track modes by turning the dial. I don't know what else track and sport mode do, except adjust the traction/stability control, which you can adjust anyway on the base by hitting the button, and change shift points in the automatics (I would think).

Because throttle response in standard mode is horrible IMHO - I really _ never _ use it.

For base model GTs, double tapping the TC button will activate Sport mode, with improved throttle response and relaxed TC/SC intervention.

Has anyone with a Base GT tried the AFE Power Sprint Booster seems like this product will improve throttle response just as the OP was asking

I went with the PedalMax, but when I was shopping, seems like I read posts about people using the Sprint Booster and the PedalMax on here. But there were more postings about the PedalMax so that's the one I picked. There was also one other brand I found that did the same thing, but I can't recall the name.
