If any of you guys get a chance to drive at drive exotic ranch in Forth Worth Texas, DO IT!!!! They have specials where you can track 3 cars for 4 laps each. I own a 2022 Mustang GT and it was wild to get to track a newer Mustang GT500, a Mercedes AMG-GTR, Audi RR8, and a Porsche GT3. I got to track a fourth car because I paid for video recording and it did not record me in the 3rd car (Mercedes) so they were really cool about it and said go track one of the other cars. So I picked the Porsche GT3. I will post again later on my driver impressions of each when I get home. Stay tuned!

1) Audi R8 V10 (1st car driven)
This was my first car and first experience tracking any car, so I was probably the slowest I will ever be around a track lol. It felt like I never lost grip around corners, straightaways and felt really planted to the road of the track. I was probably more cautious with this car because of its hefty price tag and not knowing what to expect. It also felt a little long compared to the other cars, but overall a great experience for this newb.

2) Mustang GT500 5.2L supercharged (2nd car driven)
It may look like a Ford Mustang, but on the track, it felt and drove nothing like my car. The power and suspension gets you the turns and straightaways what feels like a few seconds. With the supercharger, I felt like it started to get a little heat soak around the end of lap 2. As I punched it into the straightaways, there was more and more lag as I finished lap 4. It was hot that day and other people did drive the car, so I am sure that has something to do with it. Overall, I had a lot of fun with this car, but again still a little too nervous to really push it hard.

3) Mercedes AMG GT-R twin turbo 4.0L V8 (3rd car driven)
All I can say is dayuuum!!! This car did not disappoint. According to drive exotic website, this car was built to challenge the Porsche 911 GT3, and I believe it really does. As I was building confidence more and more tracking cars, I think I got the fastest or second fastest lap time with this car compared to the Porsche 911 GT3 I tracked last. The twin turbo V8 in this car is a real monster and gets through the tracks tight corners and hairpin turns effortlessly. Once you get to a straightaway, it will feel like it's trying to put you in the trunk with the awesome power to weight ratio over its short wheelbase. This was my second favorite car to drive on the track after the Porsche 911 GT3 and I enjoyed every second of it.

4) Porsche GT3 3.8L V6 (4th and favorite car driven)
I now understand why so many people talk about Porsche vehicles and driving on the track with them. Are they the fastest cars, maybe not, but for a NA V6 to have a 0-60 time of 3.1 seconds, like how is that possible? I suppose they perfected every single thing in the motor and put it on a light short wheelbase vehicle. This car just hits different around the track. I felt like I could push this car to its limits and it would respond, "Is that all you got?" If I was not so Ford faithful, I would probably do all that I could to get this car. Each piece on the Porsche 911 GT3 was almost hand crafted for track racing and the PDK transmission is the soulmate to the rest of the car. I could see now why my instructor told me that I need to track the Porsche they have there since I liked the AMG GT-R so much. I almost think he "forgot" to record the AMG so I could drive the Porsche. Even if it was an honest mistake, I am glad it was made because I had a blast driving this car around the track. If you ever thought about wanting to do this, you should definitely do it. I am now a track addict lol.

Those AMG GTs are MEAN. A buddy of mine had a big turbo AMG GTS and I don't think I've ever been in a another car that fast and can turn! :)
