Hey Guys,

For my 2021 Mach 1 I've actually had pretty good success on the stock brake pads, but decided to upgrade to the DTC70. DTC70 worked amazing, but because of there high metallic content they made a mess of my Wheels after they got wet/damp. Id like to find a good middle ground for a brake pad that is improved over stock, but is street-able without destroying my wheels with metal deposits if they get wet?

does this exist, or do I just need to be swapping pads every few weeks from street - track?

GLOC R12-R18. Squeaky and dust like crazy but tolerable to daily driving and great at the track.

Leave the wheels covered in dust, drive them in the rain, and they still rinse right off with no wheel finish damage when you're ready to clean them.

Yup and that’s the story with dtc type pads.

No metal in the GLOCs—I daily R18’s and it rains in Pittsburgh… a lot

I can also vouch for GLOC's.
I had R12/10 and they always washed right off without issue.

Currently have DTC-60's and still have no issues. To be fair, my car is parked in a garage and rarely ever sees rain though.

No metal in the GLOCs
Is this accurate? I'm fairly certain any pad that can hold up on track is going to have metal in it.

May be an overstatement but it’s way less corrosive metal than any other race pad I’ve used that destroys wheels. I’ve left wheels in dirty for long periods of time through lots of moisture and glocs just don’t seem to cause any permanent finish or corrosion damage like most the others do.

Pretty big jump from being successful on stock pads to DTC70. Go with a mid range GLoc like others have said, they seemed easy on my wheels.

DTC70 is my go to track pad but it will kill rotors on the street if you drive it often.

Thanks. Does the torque of the pads seem a good match for the NT01's? I'm on the same tire and want to make sure I don't overwhelm the tires with too much pad. Of course braking style comes into this a lot as well. Thanks in advance for any additional insight.
