It's possible, yes. I think it was more the fact I was tracking a car with the stock pads and fluid. I friend of mine encouraged me to try it stock before I go modifying things, big regret there lol! I haven't had any issues after the upgraded brakes, lines, and fluid

Sounds like a case of a seasoned driver asking just a bit too much of the stock pads and fluid then. Upgrades all around before the next flogging.
