I am sending in my rear CS wheels to get widened. I have searched and didnt come up with with the right info. Wheel widening place states "do not send the wheels in with the TPMS sensors installed". I believe I can just use a T10 torx head driver to remove the tpms sensor from the rubber valve stem, send in the wheels, and then just reinstall the sensor back on to the valve stem when the wheels come back. Looks like they are supposed to be torqued to around 11.5 inch/lbs upon reassembly. Does all of this sound correct? Now that I think about it, I could have just asked the wheel place, but someone here will know. Thanks!

You could do like me and just send your wheels in to Weldcraft and then realize you were supposed to take off the TPS sensors :headbang: They don't guarantee it will come back with them though, but hey I'll see in a week or 2 when they are done. I'm going to 12" wide.

What will be the offset of the wheels after widening to 12”?
They are 35 offset at 10” wide and they fit just tucked in the wheel well. 2” is added of course to the inside of the wheel by weldcraft so the wheel will need the clearance only towards the inside wheel well and the distance to the wheel outer edge and lip won’t change.

Yes, easy to R&R and good luck.

Thanks, hopefully all goes well. Removed sensor part and left valve stem in, hopefully not a problem. Going to use Weldcraft, I have read some other forums recently that by using another wheel widener, it took over 3m for a guy to get his wheels back. James at Weldcraft said this is a slower time of year, thats why I chose Weldcraft. Shipping to them is a lot more expensive though. Wow, a 19 X 10.5 wheel in a box with styrofoam as the packing is a big box!

I knew a few guys on LS1GTO that hide their OEM wheels widened using Weldcraft. Always heard great things.
