I recently bought a 2022 GT 10 sp automatic, without PP, special ordered with a 3.55 ratio. When I ordered it, I understood that the 3.55 ratio would be a no-cost option. When it arrived, the window sticker listed the 3.55 ratio as a $795 option. Since Ford is obviously experiencing material shortages, I wonder whether they ran short of 3.55 Trac-Lok differentials and substituted a Torsen for the $795 upcharge.
The numbers on the differential are as follows: On the aluminum housing: 22224TC05A320076, JR3W-4200-UC, 8.8, 3S55, S550
On the rear cover: TC05A22224320076, JR3W-4200-UB, S267F, 3L55

I'm sure some could read the tea leaves and tell you but the only way to know for sure would be to yank the diff cover and see. You can test the ratio by simply putting it neutral on jack stands and running the tires a full rotation and counting the driveshaft rotations.

Would cost you about $70 for the replacement fluids. But you'd know the ratio for sure and you'd be able to see if it's a locker or a torsen.

Would be way easier to just pull the fill plug and stick a borescope camera in there

Are there not identifying numbers on the diff? Seems that there should be. Perhaps the ones that the OP posted identify the diff? I will not be surprised if some of the more knowledgeable drop in here with the answer.

TIP:
- If the rear diff has Trac-loc guts, you won't be able to see through it with axles removed. There will be a "bar" in the hole which is for the spider gears.

- If the rear diff has Torsen guts, you'll be able to see through it with axles removed.

Not sure about '22, but 3.55 has historically been a paid option on both manual and auto cars.

The manual '22 GT parked next to mine at the dealership was built 8 days earlier and the 3.55 option was listed as no-cost on the window sticker.
